Today, the leadership team of MKE United issued the following statement in response to the events in the Sherman Park neighborhood over the weekend: The events of this last weekend have underscored the profound need for our city’s leadership – elected officials, businesses, non-profit organizations and community leaders – to unite behind an effort to ensure that all members of our community share in the prosperity and economic growth that are occurring in and around Downtown.
A key component of the MKE United Downtown Action Agenda is its civic engagement process. The effort was launched in July 2016 with the creation of a Steering Committee, the convening of community ambassadors and the launch of MKEUnited.com.
